Character Interview

Hey all!

I had the privilege of getting to interview a wonderful, fictional character who one of my friends is writing about. She actually interviewed one of my characters for a book that I’m working on, so make sure to check out that post and her blog here: https://sincerelyhero.home.blog/2019/03/07/character-interview/

Here is the interview. Enjoy!

Hello, could you please tell me what your name is? My name is Iris Shell.
How old are you? I am 21 years old.
What is your occupation?
I am a veterinarian.
What do you enjoy doing? I like to take care of my cats, I enjoy working as a vet and eating ice cream.
So you have cats! How many and what are their names? Yes, I have three cats and their names are: Duff, Trix and Scarlet.

You also mentioned that you enjoy eating ice cream. What is your favorite flavor? Definitely peppermint chocolate chip.
So, your job is working as a veterinarian. What got you into that? Well, I’ve been an animal person for a very long time, but I decided when I was ten years old that I was going to be a veterinarian.
Well that’s cool! What made you decide at such a young age? I attended a class on being a veterinarian when I was ten, and knew right away that that was a what I was going to be.
If you don’t mind me asking, what tattoo is that on your leg? Oh, this? Its a tiger that is colored electric blue. That’s my favorite color, and I love tigers, so yeah, that’s I got this tattoo.
What are your parents’ names? Theresa Shell is my mother, John Shell is my biological father and David is my stepdad.
What is your relationship with your parents? Well, I’m pretty close to my mom. I don’t get along with my biological father at all, and my step-dad, well, he’s okay. My biological dad lives in New York city, so I don’t see him much, and that’s one of the reason why I don’t get along with him.
Where do you live? I live right outside of Oklahoma City. My clinic is there, and I have an apartment at the top of my clinic, so I just stay there.
Being a veterinarian, you must have at one point read a lot of veterinarian books. Who is your favorite author on that subject? Emma Bowers is an excellent veterinarian author and I love reading her books. They’re so insightful!
I’d like to thank you for joining me today, and want to ask one more question. You’re very welcome, I enjoyed doing this interview. Shoot away with your next question!
If you had any advice to give to someone, what would it be? I would tell them that you don’t have to be a superhero to help.

I hope that you all enjoyed this character interview. Again, make sure to check out my friend’s blog (link is at the top of this post) and please tell me what you thought of this post in the comments below!

Cheers!
