Earth Day!

Hey all!

Today is Earth Day! I hope that you all are having an amazing day and hopefully you are taking at least a little bit of notice to the fact that this day is called, “Earth Day”.

Earth Day was originally first celebrated in 1970. It was founded by Senator Gaylord Nelson as a day to promote awareness and appreciation for the earth’s atmosphere. It’s been celebrated ever since and should be continued to be celebrated by generations to come.

Well, I think that we, as Christians, should always try to take care of this world that God created for us. Even if you’re not a Christian, I think that it is everybody’s duty to take care of what is around them. That includes not littering (which pretty much everybody has done, including myself.) and making sure to care of the living things around us. That means throwing away your own trash and not being lazy, and caring for the natural world around you. Embrace what God has created and strive to keep it the way that God made it. Sure, we can’t pick up every single little piece of trash, but taking care of your own definitely helps. If every person in the world picked up just ONE piece of trash, that would be equivalent to around 7.5 BILLION pieces of trash!! And that’s only ONE piece per person!
