Holocaust vs. Abortion – The Same?

Note: I tried to research and find the most reliable information that I could. If you have found reliable information that states otherwise, I would love to hear about it, and please make sure to contact me through my contact page and tell me about it. Thanks!

Abortion is a subject that many people in this current society want to avoid. It’s a subject that creates a lot of uneasiness and makes some people awkward. Some people speak out about it; part of those people being for it and part of them being against it. I am completely against it. Being a Christian, I have included Bible verses in this article. If you do not believe in the Bible, then you can choose to skip over them, or you can read what is there and what I believe behind it. Your choice.

According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), there were 638,169 legally induced abortions the year of 2015 in the USA. The abortion rate per 1,000 women was 11.8 abortions and the abortion ratio were 188 abortions per 1,000 live births.

Unborn Baby

First off, the Bible clearly stands against abortion. Where?

Psalm 139:13-16 13For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

I’ve heard a lot of arguments for abortion that say that it’s not a baby, it’s a fetus, and therefore you can abort it. Who cares if you call it a fetus or a baby? It’s alive and it is its OWN PERSON, and killing it and calling it a “fetus” doesn’t mean that that’s okay. Check out these verses from Psalms below:

Psalm 106:35-38 But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them. Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, and shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.

Of course, you might say, nobody is offering up little babies to gods and shrines and then slaughtering them.

Not literally you aren’t, but in your heart you are. When you put yourself before another person, you are making yourself out to be like a little god. When you abort a baby because you seemingly “have no other option”, you are putting your life before that baby’s and you are making that baby bow to you. You are making that baby do what you want, because hey, if it’s just a fetus, then it’s okay to kill it. Because hey, if I don’t want a baby right now, then it’s okay to kill it.

Since when did genocide become okay in our society? I don’t get why people freak out about the Holocaust and all of the horrors to do with it, and then they just stand by, maybe even taking a part of a much, much bigger genocide than the Holocaust: abortion.

There were over 17 million victims of the Holocaust in the years 1933-1945 due to the Nazi persecution. There have been over 60 million abortions in America from 1973-2018. How’s that for guilt on our part as Americans?

Children at Auschwitz

So many people despise Hitler for murdering millions of people because he thought that the world would be better it was rid of them. Yet few people even dislike Planned Parenthood when it has murdered over 3 times the amount that Hitler did. Planned Parenthood is exercising the right to murder babies just because they think that we don’t need those children.

Planned Parenthood is the Hitler of our time and will continue to be until people start to stand up against it.

Will you take a stand, or will you sit by and watch it happen? Will you fight against this tyranny, this genocide, or will you merely watch as this bloodbath floods the world?

  1. It’s always nice for me to find more friends who feel this way about abortion. (Of course, from what I know about you so far, I’m not surprised at all that you feel this way, but still…)

The part about making yourself a god… it’s not just making your baby bow to you and sacrifice itself. Our culture has also made a god out of the idea of sex for entertainment. We have taken this sacred life-giving act that God gave to a man and his wife for the purpose of uniting in one flesh and bringing children into the world, and turned it into recreation. Pretty much all of the anti-abortion arguments I’ve heard rest on an assumption that having sex is as absolute necessity on par with eating and breathing and such, and that the thought of taking this “right” away is unthinkable. Planned Parenthood isn’t just the Hitler of our time, it’s the Molech of our time, an altar on which children are sacrificed to the gods of carnal pleasure.

One of my old teachers (he has long since retired) posted the other day a really condescending meme about how being pro-life means banning guns, stopping pollution (which I’m not inherently opposed to in and of itself, but that’s another topic for another time), and giving everyone government-run healthcare, not “governing women’s bodies.” I gave a long reply about how no pro-lifer is motivated by a desire to govern women’s bodies, and maybe if each side looked to listen to and understand and respect the other side’s beliefs, we could actually get things done instead of being so polarized and angry. He said that I was just another man trying to dictate what a woman does with her body, and that he is under no obligation to respect my beliefs. Kind of sad to hear that coming from someone whose life was spent educating young children…

    1. I agree wholeheartedly with you! I get so tired of people saying that they had an abortion because they weren’t “ready” for the responsibility to raise a child, or they don’t have the time. My argument is: You obviously had the time to have sex and you chose what to do that night (assuming it’s not in the case of rape), so you now have the responsibility for what you did. Our culture today doesn’t like taking responsibility for their actions, and that’s a HUGE part of why there are so many abortions, because people don’t want to own up to what they did, and they don’t want to take responsibility for it.
That’s extremely sad. People say that they love kids, but they don’t want the responsibility of raising them. What a messed up world we live in.

  2. Lydia, did you know that the Latin word “fetus” means “small child”? So calling it a “fetus” isn’t necessarily writing it off as a non-person. I doubt many pro-choicers know that.
Whatever you call it, that “blob of cells is a living child. And the argument that it’s part of the woman’s body doesn’t quite fly, either. It may be located IN her body, but if it were just a part of her, it would have the same DNA that’s found in every other cell of her body. But that little one has his/her own unique DNA, showing that even before birth, this is a unique person!
Thanks for your commitment to life. Blessings!
