Looking Forwards

There was a shooting near us not too long ago. It wasn’t huge, but it was nerve-wracking to know that there was a shooting in our area.

I was talking to one of my best friends about it and I said, “Man, the world just keeps getting worse and worse.”

You know what he told me? He said, “Yeah, but the next keeps getting better and better.”

And WOW, how true that is. I can’t even begin to describe how amazing and exciting it is to know, that even though this world is so horribly drenched in sin, anguish and pain, we DO have something to look forward to. Even if we die horrible, excruciating deaths, we can look forward to the fact that we will spend eternity with our LORD and Savior. When I think about it, I get so excited. It’s so much to look forwards to! I mean, imagine going from the world which we live in now, to the amazing, pure eternity where our Savior resides. I get so excited thinking about it.

To have Jesus is to have the world. You don’t need to be rich or famous to live a wholesome life. You just need Jesus.

Many people have died for their faith in Christ. They didn’t die thinking it was worthless. They died knowing it was fully worth it. They knew that, once their earthly body failed them, they would be in paradise with their LORD. A perfect, painless paradise.

Doesn’t that sound wonderful?

The only way you can know that you will end up in this glorious eternity is to just give your life up to Christ. Tell Him what you’ve done…nothing is too bad for Him. Ask Him to forgive you and He will. He is the most forgiving One there ever was.

So, I want y’all to think forwards…even though there is so much pain in this world, we’ve got so much to look forward to. Let’s look forward, get excited about what’s coming, and spread the hope and love of Jesus, so that others might experience the same kind of joy and expectation, as us. And if you haven’t been able to look forwards to this yet…then take the leap and give your life to Christ! Nothing is too hard for Him.

Cheers!

  1. Hallelujah, awesome post Keziah. Indeed there is something better to look forward too in Christ.

This reminds me of this scripture in Job 22:29; When men say there is a casting down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up.

    1. Yes, indeed!!!
It was crazy, and it really made you thank God for the life He had given you, and instill in you a desire to live your life out more for fully for Him, not knowing when, or where, you could end up dying.
