A Week of 1950’s Fashion

Hey guys!

I really, really love the fashion from the 1950’s era. It was so classy and so charming. Everything about the style of the clothes, just draws me in.

I had been trying to get into wearing skirts and dresses more, as I just find it a very feminine, classy thing for women to do. And, seeing as how much I love the 1950’s era, I decided it would be fun to switch out a lot of my closet with 1950 style clothes. So, I’ve been working on that. And I decided I’d do a post of a week of my wearing 1950’s fashion. I hope you guys like it!

1st Outfit

This is just a striped, button-up dress I got off ebay. It’s actually an original dress from the 1950’s, which I just think is the coolest thing. 🙂

2nd Outfit

This dress is a super cute brown, white-polka dot dress. It is a bit see-through, so I wore one of my petticoats underneath, and a slip over that. I really love this cute outfit (also original!), and I wore it for Thanksgiving, last year. 😊

3rd Outfit

I also purchased this outfit off of eBay, and it is also an original…I had to stain-treat it and iron it a good bit (still somewhat wrinkly in the photos, but oh well…), but it is a lovely outfit which I personally think would work great for an office-job. 🙂

4th Outfit

Also an original off of eBay! I really love this dress. How blue and cute it is. One of my favorites. 😊

5th Outfit

This is the outfit I wore on Christmas Eve. I really love this outfit, too. I got the dress from Ross and then the shawl and sash from Amazon. I wanted something special, for Christmas. 😊

6th Outfit

This outfit, I was given to, by my dear neighbors as a birthday present. I really love it and think it is just SO cute. The colors are really pretty, too. ❤

I got this adorable “sailor” 1950’s outfit from my best friend, as a late Christmas present. I’m pretty sure he got it off of Amazon, though I’m not entirely sure… 🤷‍♀️ I think it’s really, really cute and might be my very favorite dress that I own. ☺

Okay, that’s all! I’ve got a couple more 1950-style dresses, but those are my 7 favorites that I wanted to share. What did y’all think of this post? Thanks for reading!! ❤

  2. Oh, I absolutely love this!! I have always wanted to do something like this but wasn’t sure if I could pull it off. You rocked it, Keziah! It all looks beautiful on you ❤️ I especially love your Christmas Eve outfit!

  3. Ahh, I love these so much! I love the vintage style SO much, but I don’t have any money to buy vintage clothes. XD All my clothes are either gotten at a thrift store or handed down (which of course, isn’t bad at all! Just so you don’t think I’m complaining XD) But yeah, someday I’d like to get some more vintage dresses. They look really cute on you!!! I think my favorites are the last two – the blue and the red one! SO CUTE!😄❤️
    Awesome post!

    1. Lol don’t worry, I totally get what you’re saying. XD And thanks!! I really like them all. If you just research the style a lot and then go thrift store shopping, it’s a great way to find clothes, because you’ll have in your head, what to look for. 😊

  4. Yess I don’t particularly have a conviction against pants but I love wearing skirts and dresses for the same reason! I just feel and act so much more ladylike when I wear them and I feel like it increases self-esteem too because I feel prettier. And that’s a super sweet gift from your best friend and I like your Christmas Eve skirt too!

      1. Of course! Oh, I wanted to mention also that I watched two of the christian films you posted about a while ago. I’m not ashamed and Unplanned. I can’t tell you how moved I was.. or how many times I cried. Very thoughtful movies that definitely inspired me to think deeper about my values. Thank you for sharing that x

  6. Ahhhh oh my goodness I am obsessed with the 1950’s era!! The fashion, and vintage look of that ear and everything to me is just a complete dream….ahhh I’d give anything to go back in time and live just for a day there. These dresses are beautiful!! And so are you 😉 I’ve actually been looking for some cute 1950’s themed outfits and I’m hoping to get some pretty dresses like these for this summer! Ahhh, women’s fashion then was so beautiful. Modest, mature, yet still fun and beautiful. Great post! Sending much love Keziah ❤️😊

    1. Ahh, yes!! Thank you. 🥰
And totally, you do that!! Stock your wardrobe full of cute, 1950 stuff (and if you research the era and know what to look for, there’s tons of stuff at thrift stores!!). And you should totally post about it. I’d LOVE to see that style on your adorable self. 🥰❤
