As Christians of this world, we get SO caught up in the idea that if we “figure life out”, we don’t have to worry about much else. I’m a “pretty good” person and you’re a “pretty good” person, so what’s there to work on??
That’s such a HUGE lie that the devil tells us. he tries to deceive us into believing that we are “good enough” and don’t need to work on anything.
But the TRUTH is, that we need to be working on ourselves E.V.E.R.Y. D.A.Y. We are humans who fail and mess up and will never, EVER be perfect. And because of that, we need to constantly remind ourselves to pick ourselves back up and work on making ourselves like Jesus.
“Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and spirit, bringing holiness to completion in the fear of God.” – 2nd Corinthians 7:1
You can look pretty good on the outside but what’s going on in your heart and soul? Constantly work on becoming more like Jesus and less like your human nature. NOBODY can have it all figured out. ❤️
